The unreliable narrator has been busy.

I’ve been taking my little notebook out into the world, writing down some of the ridiculous things my brain tries to convince me are facts, and photographing them wherever I happen to be.

It’s a strange little exercise. Some of the notes are funny once they’re out of my head. Others are considerably less convincing when written in purple pen with little hearts around them.

I’m not trying to argue with every thought or turn this into an elaborate self-improvement project. Sometimes it’s enough to write something down, look at it, and recognise that having a thought doesn’t automatically make it true.

Anyway, here are the first six.

The narrator remains deeply unreliable. The stationery remains deeply offensive.
